A new high-performance LCD desktop will be released first in Japan. The Acer S243HL has a 24-inch white LED backlight providing an extraordinary high contrast ratio compared to typical LED displays. Though it has a dynamic contrast which ranges between 1,000:1 to 8,000,000:1, its good to have a display with such a high contrast. The main panel is only 0.57 inches thick, with a little thicker base, which means it’s super slim.
The display uses a full HD resolution of 1080pixel and has a TN panel allowing significant color accuracy, 160/170 degrees viewing angle, 250cd/m2 brightness and a 2ms pixel response. The desktop comes with dual HDMI inputs, a single VGA jack, an HDMI-to-DVI adapter and a 2W built-in speaker system.
And more, the display consumes only 17.2W power, reducing power consumption by 63%.
The Acer S243HL will be available in Japan at a price equivalent to $360. Detailed international plans where not revealed, but Acer normally delivers its products to other markets too.
