Windows 7 is the perfect occasion for Dell to reveal details about the first, after Apple’s new iMac, all-in-one desktop. This new computer has an 18.5-inch display with a 1366×768 resolution and uses processors that go up to 2.93GHz Core 2 Duo. The Inspiron One 19 has a design that makes it an alternative to a netbook, but takes significantly less space.

A first version, sold in Japan for $765, much lower than its competitor iMac, is a 2.6GHz Pentium dual-core, with 2GB of RAM and a 320GB hard disk drive. An integrated Intel video as well as a tray-loading DVD burner are also included. Another version, costing $930, the price at which iMac begins, has a 2.93GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard disk drive, a wireless mouse and keyboard. Connectivity includes six USB 2.0 ports, Firewire, gigabit ethernet, WiFi b/g, audio in/out, and an integrated webcam too. There are some PS/2 ports on the back.

Windows 7 Home Premium is the operating system for both versions of Inspiron One 19. It is not known yet if these two models will be brought to the United States and at what price.
