Acer’s AspireRevo R3610-U9012 will soon be available for purchase in the United States. This is one of the first nettops using NVIDIA’s Ion platform and supporting NVIDIA’s CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture), even being able to play back 1080 pixel movies on system with an Atom processor.
The AspireRevo is one of the first computers with Windows 7 Home Premium operating system on a 160GB hard disk drive, a dual-core 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor and an unusual 2GB of RAM. This hardware configuration enables significantly better 3D and overall much faster performance.
The computer has a compact size, making possible the installation of the PC on the back of the monitor, saving space on the desk. An HDMI, VGA and eSATA port, as well as Wi-Fi, six USB ports, a multi-card reader and a Gigabyte Ethernet connection are other features of the Acer compact PC, designed to be put on the back of any TV display or LCD with a VESA attachment. The computer also includes wireless mouse and keyboard and USB speakers.
The price of the Acer AspireRevo will be $330 and it will be available to ship on October 2nd, synchronized with Windows 7.
