Some sources say that the Canadian carrier company Bell unveiled its launch plans and prices for the Samsung Omnia 2, the Apple iPhone 3G and 3GS and the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700, a Boy Genius Report claims.
The first of them, the Samsung’s Omnia 2, will be available at a price of $350 with a three-year service contract.
The same source reveals that the 8GB iPhone 3GS will cost $700 or $200 with an agreement, while the 16GB iPhone 3GS will be sold for $800 off-contract or for $300 with a contract. At the same time, the iPhone 3G can be purchased for $600 without a contract or for $150 with a three-year contract. All iPhone models can be found on the shelves on November 4th.
As for the RIM’s BlackBerry Bold 9700, the price will be $250 on-contract, while the price for the BlackBerry Bold 9000 is supposed to drop to $150.
Confirmation of this information is still expected from the carrier company.
I think your prices are wrong. First, there is no such thing as an 8GB 3GS being sold at the moment. Secondly, Rogers is selling a 16GB 3GS for $199 on a 3yr contract. Bell wouldn’t charge more for the same phone. $150 for an 8GB 3G? Rogers is selling that for $99. All of this was in the keynote address as well back when the 3GS was unveiled.
I believe these prices may be exaggerated.
So wrong. Junior’s right about the models being incorrect. Plus, why would Bell charge the same price for the 16GB model that Rogers charges for 32GB? And Bell isn’t going to even offer the larger model?
Rumour fail.
