It seems some people are very found of netslates, so they came to transform a Dell Mini 9 netbook – in fact, a rebrand, a Dell Vostro A90 – into a touchscreen slate or almost, by flipping the display and relocating the power button.
The result was a Intel Atom processor-based touchscreen slate, with 1GB of RAM, 16 GB SSD,Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This very inventive guy named Rob also intends to add an accelerometer to make the salte switching the screen orientation, just like a genuine iPhone does.
A small USB fan mounted inside the casing would provide a comfortable temperature for holding the slate, according to Rob, and that’s exactly what he will do. There’s an example to follow, people have to be ingenious.
