On October 13, 2009, Clickfree presented its new flagship automatic portable hard drive: the C2. The new drive allows direct automatic import of music from your iPod and iPhone, as well as copying backed up files to CDs or DVDs and extracting of e-mail attachments. Files are very well protected, with 256-bit Hardware-Based Encryption.
The C2 automatically begins back upping the files from the PC it is being plugged into. This feature is also available when the portable hard drive is plugged into more than one computer; it automatically labels the files according to the computer they come from. Users are allowed to customize the backup.
Clickfree’s C2 is both Windows and Mac compatible and can be connected via an USB port. It offers compatibility for all Windows operating systems, including Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.5 or later. Its design is based on elegance, being presented in a glossy black or white case.
C2 offers capacities of 250GB and 500GB, at prices of $140 and $190. The optional dock available can be purchased for $20 more.
