Blue, pink and black versions of Picsio GC-FM1 pocket camcorders will soon invade the US stores at a price of $200, as JVC has recently exported a first lot of such products.
One of the few cameras of its size making you enjoy the 1080 pixels at a full 30 frames per second with image stabilization, Picsio uses SDHC cards instead of fixed storage, but keeps HDMI output for full-resolution preview, giving complete control with discrete buttons as Power, Video/Still, or Shoot, and a directional pad. Nothing confusing or complicated about just pushing the button for the function you want.
Shooting at 720 pixel and 60 frames per second or toggling to 8-megapixel still image is a piece of cake when using the Video/Still button. The Image Stabilizer automatically makes your videos smooth and steady. Movies are captured in H.264 (AVCHD) format, easy to send to iTunes, iMovie or YouTube and needing no prior transcoding.
