Two new HP netbooks will align to the trend and will be powered by Windows 7.

The TouchSmart 9100 is the multitouch business version of TouchSmart 600, with a 23-inch and 1920×1080 pixel display. The processor is a 2.6 or 2.1 GHz Core 2 Duo with a 250 GB or 500 GB hard disk drive. The amount of RAM is not known at this time but will probably be up to 8 GB and a new NVIDIA mainboard with GeForce G200 integrated graphics or a dedicated GeForce GT230 graphics card will be used. The price will begin at $ 1,299, the launching will be on October 22nd and shipping will take place in December.

The 9100 is more likely to be used as a public computer. Applications have been made for Marriott and many other businesses. The optical drive, USB ports and other features can be disabled if necessary to avoid abuse, but other options like DVI and FireWire, normally not found on home TouchSmarts, can be accessible.

HP’s TouchSmart tx2 is the first consumer-oriented convertible notebook to feature a multitouch technology built into the display. The convertible tablet TouchSmart tx2 has a 2.2 GHz Turion X2 with Radeon HD 3200 chipset integrated graphics, a 4 GB memory, a 320 GB/7,200 rpm hard drive. The launching date is also October 22nd and the price is $799.

The convertible tablet multitouch display is more versatile for use of the operating system and for the applications specific to TouchSmart front end. Watching videos on Netflix or Hulu, blogging on Twitter, Tumblr or Yahoo Meme or listen to internet radio are easy tasks for TouchSmart tx2’s fans, by using their fingers or the tablet’s stylus.
