HP brings a new giant meant to public spaces, meeting halls and anywhere dgital signage is needed, where it can be used as a shopping display or interactive map. It is a 42-inch touchscreen, LCD display, TFT matrix, that uses infrared and imaging sensors able to recognize two-point gestures, like zooming by pinching. This solution was adopted because capacitive touchscreens are more costly. The new giant display can be used with operating systems that recognize touch.
Plans for delivering the LD4200 are for December this year at a price of $2,799.
Image quality is good enough for a touchscreen of its size. It has a maximum resolution of 1920×1080/60 MHz, a 1,000:1 and 3,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 72 percent color gamut, a 9 ms pixel response time, a wide viewing angle of 178 degree horizontal as well as vertical, HDMI, VGA as input signal and 220 Watt power consumption.
This widescreen LCD monitor has a VESA mounting pattern on the back for wall-mounting, which means there will be less cables and clutter.
