WiFi Taglines Need Clarifying

The latest graphic of WiFi Alliance, now that 802.11n has been officially launched, aroused confusion, more so since there are now several different taglines depending on just what the network manufacturers included. Firstly, the basic logo now includes a purple “n” and drops the “draft”. Secondly, a product can add one of two taglines: “Wi-Fi CERTIFIED dual-stream n” or “Wi-Fi CERTIFIED multi-stream n”.

The WiFi Alliance has set up a new site – www.11nbasics.org – to try to rectify consumers’ puzzlement, but some time is still to pass until it will all be cleared up.
