The latest netbook from Verizon Wireless, a 3G-capable mobile broadband computer, widens the company’s lineup. The Gateway LT2016u will be available starting with October 4th for $149.99 with a two-year customer agreement, after a $100 mail-in rebate.
The netbook features an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of DDR2 533MHz SDRAM, and a 160GB hard drive. The LT2016u’s 10.1-inch WSVGA LED-backlit display should shine brightly, and Verizon promises up to 6 hours of battery life from the netbook. Moreover, the computer features a multiple format memory card reader that can read SD, XD, and Memory Stick cards.
