The set date for the release of Archos 9 tablet PC in the US has been announced. First introduced in July, the Windows 7 Starter Edition-powered tablet will be available on October 22nd for $499.
Features of the device include a 1.1GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and its namesake 9-inch, 1024×900 resolution resistive touchscreen. Also, a Bluetooth connection is also integrated and two antennas that receive DVB=TTV broadcasts. The battery can power the device for four hour per charge and the drive has 60GB.As a whole, it will weigh about 1.8lbs.
