Through its own Developer Forum, Intel Company presented a new laptop still in the concept phase that the organization hopes will become widely known. The prototype is entitled Tangent Bay and incorporates three OLED displays that support multiple touches. The three screens are embedded in the notebook`s main part and represent important elements of the interface. The OLED screens comprise features such as playing music or videos without adding them to the main user interface and they can interact with each other like, for example, a video queued in the playlist of one of them can be played by one of the other two. Moreover, by drag and drop, their content can be switched among them and between them and the notebook`s main screen.
It remains unknown whether there are computer producers that are eager or own concepts like the one proposed by Intel with its Tangent Bay. The organization`s actions to design notebooks with secondary finger-friendly displays were scarce. Moreover, in the past, few companies developed notebooks that incorporated auxiliary touchscreens such as Fujitsu with its LifeBook N7010. Nonetheless, we should praise Intel`s concept notebook since early laptops that used the secondary displays embedded in them only comprised a single finger-friendly display supporting a single touch.
