ASUS Company has introduced two new notebooks from the Republic of Gamers lineup entitled the G60 and the G71X respectively. The G60 version is endowed with Intel`s Core 2 Duo processor and the G71X model comprises Intel`s and Core 2 Quad processor. These two new notebooks incorporate the NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 260M comprising 1GB specifically created memory. The G60 notebook incorporates a screen of 16 inches with 1,366 x 768 resolution and the G71X gadget comes with a display of also 16 inches with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200. ASUS` new products comprise a Blu-ray drive, dual HDDs arranged in RAID array summing up 640GB for the G60 model and 1TB for the G71X variant and ports for HDMI and eSATA.
Both the G60 and the G71X incorporate a fast wireless feature – a/g/n on the former and b/g/n on the latter, Bluetooth 2.1 and EDR, gigabit Ethernet, a web camera of 2 megapixels and Altec Lansing speakers. The two notebooks also incorporate various ports for S/PDIF, Firewire and four ones for USB 2.0. ASUS` new devices comprise a DDR3 memory of 4GB and the G60 notebook comes with a keyboard that is backlit and a manga-style drawn case.
Both of ASUS` Republic of Gamers notebooks can be found on the market. The G60 on can be acquired at the purchasing price of £1,449 meaning $2,366 and the G71X model can be bought for £1,849 or $3,019. These gadgets incorporate the Windows Vista Ultimate operating system, but it seems that they can support also the free updates of Windows 7 when this new operating system will be launched, more specifically on the 22nd of October.
