Cellular South is a small United States carrier which has recently expanded its line of offered products with HTC`s Hero smartphone that is functioning on the Android Platform developed by Google. HTC Hero is very similar to the one commercialized by Sprint network communications company. HTC`s innovative mobile phone is plat, comprises CDMA/EVDO support and Sense UI. Nonetheless, Hero is prone to transform Sprxmobile’s Layar application into one of the most downloaded applications of its time. Regarding the other features of the smartphone, Hero comes with a camera of five megapixels, a jack of 3.5 millimeters for headphones and GPS and Wi-Fi for connectivity.
Even though Cellular South is a smaller United States carrier, it managed to put itself ahead of other big competitors. For example, it managed to distribute HTC`s Hero smartphone on the 5th of October, a week earlier than Sprint that programmed Hero`s release on the 11th of October. The purchasing price for Cellular South`s HTC Hero remains unknown, but the model commercialized by Sprint can be acquired for the price of $180 with discount, but only if the user previously concluded an agreement with the carrier.
