Either due to American Telephone and Telegraph network quality or just the curiosity of customers to try the new femtocell unit, the 3G MicroCell has recorded an increase in interests from people`s behalf. Recently the network communication organization underwent a testing period of the femtocell technology in North Carolina, more precisely in Charlotte.
A person who took part in this public trial presented on Flick social network his thoughts and experience of using the new 3G MicroCell. However, the person did not give any feedback regarding the unit`s performance. All that can be seen on his Flick account is a photo of an iPhone. The mobile phone`s screen displays full signal (five full bars) and the words “AT&T M-Cell legend”. This clearly places the iPhone on the American Telephone and Telegraph carrier and also supports the idea of the public trial of 3G MicroCell. Rumors state that the setup of the gadget is as simple as the one of the competing femtocell units which are offered by Sprint and Verizon. This would imply attaching a GPS gadget by a window, putting the power unit and broadband in the sockets and starting the device.
Encountering more speculations than the 3G MicroCell’s release are the fees charged by American Telephone and Telegraph carrier. Customers have to pay either $19.99 every month to enjoy unlimited calling through the 3G MicroCell unit, $10 if the subscribers have already concluded an agreement with the network communication company for a landline or broadband or the billing is free if the customers have a contract with the carrier for both the landline and broadband. However, the $20 per month represents a big sum considering that the organization actually bills its clients for dropping the traffic on the company`s network.
American Telephone and Telegraph stated that the unlimited calling offer is not the only means to use the 3G MicroCell technology. Moreover, the cellular carrier also presented its prices. For those who want to find out more, they can browse the net.
