It appears that the pricing strategy of American Telephone and Telegraph Company for its 3G MicroCell service which is nowadays involved in a public market test located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Gearlog discovered some of the strategy`s details and it seems that American Telephone and Telegraph`s offer is pretty fair unless the customers desire the unlimited calling option for $20.

Verizon offers its customers the femtocell unit for $100, but the device is not endowed with the 3G technology. Shops set as purchasing price for the 3G MicroCell gadget at $150, but the service is free and as you can conclude from the name, the unit comprises the 3G technology. However, for those who wish to enjoy the unlimited calling option they have to pay $20 per month.

This price drops if the specific customer is subscribed at American Telephone and Telegraph either for Internet or landline or for both in which case the service is free or users subscribed to DSL services, all of these agreements having as location the household of the customer. In order to counteract the fact that charging $20 for a service is a very high sum, the organization offers a $100 discount on the 3G MicroCell gadget.

Now, all that remains for American Telephone and Telegraph is to decide to cut the $20 price for the unlimited rendered services at $10 in order to gain competitive advantage against Verizon which does not offer any unlimited options. By dropping its price, the organization will be kind of on the same pricing line with its competitors Sprint and T-Mobile.
