Nokia Company launched its new N900 in the end of August and today the smartphone can be pre-ordered.
Nowadays, it seems that the Nokia N900 Mameo Linux could prove to be a milestone in Nokia developed smartphones. The groundbreaking N900 phone comprises a finger-friendly screen of 3.5 inches that has a resolution of 800x480px, the Mameo 5 Linux operating system, an integrated memory of 34 gigabytes, an ARM Cortex-A8 processor and a camera of 5 megapixels. Regarding the gadget`s connectivity, Nokia N900 incorporates HSPA and WI-Fi. A competitive advantage for this Nokia phone model that overcomes the iPhone is the Adobe Flash software incorporated by the Maemo Internet browser.
However, official announcements regarding T-Mobile and other network communication companies that would offer the new Nokia N900 Linux smartphone have not been made yet. Nonetheless, the innovative mobile phone is available for those who want to acquire it as an unlocked version at a purchasing price under $600. This cost seems an affordable one taking into consideration the fact that no agreements with specific carriers are signed.
Even though the new Nokia smartphone has not been distributed yet, Amazon stated the innovative gadget`s pre-order cost which is $588.99.It is a clear price cut from the initial acquisition price of $649. Also keep in mind that this pre-ordered version of Nokia N900 is unlocked!
Having used and enjoyed my N770 and N800 tablets from Nokia, I’m really excited to see the platform evolve into a high-end platform at a reasonable price point. I had been waiting for the Pre or an Android phone to become available on AT&T, but now I’m glad I had to wait.
Sucks that this is not compatible with AT&Ts 3G network. No T-Mobile 3G in my area.
According to Amazon, the N900 will work with T-mobile and At&T.
They have a little “will this work with my operator” box about compatibility with At&t
Alex, yes, it will work with AT&T but it works only with their EDGE network not with their 3G network. However, it will work with the T-Mobile 3G network. Nokia has no plans to release a version that does work with the AT&T 3G network. Word is that the T-Mobile 3G network will soon be faster and more widespread than the AT&T one.
