German Website Sets Autumn as Time for Palm Pre Release

eMD presents the Palm Pre German site, O2 Germany, which states that the gadget is “Exklusiv ab Herbst bei O2.” To put it in English, it seems that we were right in positioning the Palm Pre release by the end of this year. The German sentence means that in autumn (Herbst) the new GSM Palm Pre will be available exclusively in O2. Speculations of an October launching of the innovative gadget seem to be somehow accurate, but an official statement has not been made yet.

Germans are very lucky people. The O2 web site for the Palm Pre hosts a contest which has as prizes ten Pre phones. All the contestants have to do is to answer a question on the website. Those who give a wrong answer should not get upset because the web site gives them the chance to answer it again. I guess the German site is using a lottery system in awarding their prizes.

To put it in a nutshell, it seems that the GSM Pre Palm will be launched in autumn, but the actual release date is not known yet. Moreover, the purchasing price is still under a question mark.
