The leak of some manufacturing plans of Apple`s new tablet are rumored to be presented on Tuesday. Economic News magazine from Taiwan states that Apple`s new touchscreen hardware is going to be shipped in February, even though elements of the innovative tablet will be distributed starting with December. The Taiwanese issues presents the fact that Apple`s touchscreen will support a custom processor something ARM-based considering the acquisition by Apple of PA Semi company, an almost 10 inches finger-friendly display. And regarding connectivity the new tablet will comprise HSDPA for its 3G access and using the AT&T’s network.
The sources rumoring these facts have not been uncovered, but they also speculate that the purchasing price of this new gadget will range between $799 and $999 and its battery will last for longer periods of time compared to the competing products. To make an idea regarding how many products Apple has planned to sale we turn around to DynaPack the battery manufacturer for the Apple tablets. It appears that the company has asked the battery producer to develop approximately 300,000 batteries per month meaning that there is going to be kind of the same number of Apple tablet products on the market. Moreover, the same unknown industry sources claim that Winktek which supplies touchscreens for the iPhone and iPod models and Mag. Layers Scientific-Technics supplier for equipments providing power to Apple gadgets are going to play their role in the production process of the new Apple tablets.
We may come to wonder whether this report is right or accurate or not. However, taking into account that it corroborates with official news regarding the 2010 launching of Apple`s tablets and the fact that these gadgets use a version of iPhone X operating system instead of a desktop platform, we may conclude that the report is accurate even though some parts of it come into conflict with claims that the innovative tablets will incorporate a Verizon media pad. For both of these speculations to be true, it would mean that there are versions of Apple tablets endowed with EVDO-based 3G or ones comprising multi-mode 3G like for example the one incorporated by the Qualcomm’s Gobi chipset.
I don’t see the point in these new tablet if they aren’t going to use a full OS. If I want to use the iPhone’s extremely limited OS, I would buy an iPhone.
Do they really think that a small size advantage is what people want?
