Having as target market the students attending college or university courses, Microsoft Company released a new educational discount for Windows 7. People attending schools are eligible for this rebate and can order the desired copy of Windows 7 from Professional and Home Premium for the purchasing price of $30. Microsoft`s rebate offer expires at 12 A.M CST on the 3rd of January.
The unitary pricing policy created by Professional is focused on college or university students who study in institutions with the “domain join” tactic. This is why the specifics such as Remote Media Streaming and Home Group are very useful for them.
The 22nd of October represents the date when Windows 7 will be officially launched. This student rebate is designed with the purpose of becoming a competing substitute for Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Apple`s operating system has been already launched in the end of August. As a pricing strategy, Apple set the purchasing price for the Mac OS X Snow Leopard license at almost $30, shocking figure since the company`s former operating system was approximately $100 more with regards to the purchasing price. Microsoft`s Widows 7 Professional edition will cost $200 and the Home Premium one will be available for $120.
