Semiconductor integrated circuits manufacturer, Atmel Corporation puts great trust in the resistive touchscreen products it designs, but acknowledges that the innovative capacitive touchscreen represents a very good deal in today`s market. This is why the company released a video presenting the organization`s newest technology: maXThouch.

Atmel desires to give to start to a new era in platforms and engages in supporting the evolution of capacitive touchscreens bigger than 10 inches comprising platforms for zooming, writing, recognizing patterns and different other hi-tech functions. Moreover, the first model that awaits appearance is mXT224. This device is said to have the ability to respond not only to finger touch, but also to fingernails or gloves. Furthermore, the production line of mXT224 endures many simultaneous touches and it is said to have a refresh rate and signal-to-noise ratio over 60 percent higher than its competing products.

The mXT224 model is available for all the organizations interested in its features and more products will be available at the end of 2009.
