Operators Customization Through Meaemo and N900

Nokia World comprises a series of operating systems for its products starting from the basic one Series 30 up to Windows version 7 for its 3G Booklet mini-laptop.

Early on, one of the most common operating systems was the Symbian found particularly in smartphones. Large number of persons used this OS contained by the Nokia devices. Even if recently people speculated on operator customization of Maemo devices, Nokia stated that they desire to concentrate on their market and implicitly customer knowledge in order to integrate new applications and endowments in the Maemo software. Even if the company did not precisely make the information public, their thoughts focus on a symbiosis between their offerings and product and software developers to come up with an operator possibility for the N900 model. The Finnish organization want to offer all operators the possibility to create new Maemo devices that best fit their needs.

Even though the rumors around Nokia N900 and Maemo were merely speculative and people did not understand them correctly, they had a positive effect for the operating system and the product.
