Garmin-Asus Nuvifone is finally released

After a long time waiting for it’s launching, Nuvifone, the smartphone produced by Garmin in collaboration to Asus, came into the marketplace.

The surprise of Nuvifone is that it comes with G60 and, also, with M20, containing Garmin GPS features.

The operating system used for Nuvifone M20 is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. Other software features of this smartphone are Opera browser, HTML, WAP 1.2.1/2.0, SMS / MMS / IM.
As about the hardware, it’s dimensions are 95.3 x 52.5 x 12.8 mm, you can find a 3MP camera with auto-focus and geo-tagging, a 2.8” touchscreen, 802.11 b/g WLAN, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, HFP, HSP, A2DP, AVRCP, mini USB 2.0 incorporated and also Tri-band GSM / GPRS / Edge 900/1800/1900 900/2100 HSPA 7.2 Mbps. You can use 3G up to 3.5 hours and 2G up to 2.8 hours talk time.

The Garmin-Asus Nuvifone G60 is based on a Linux platform, having a HTML browser based on Webkit platform and SMS features only. G60 uses Quad-band GSM / GPRS / Edge 850/900/1800/1900, 802.11 b/g WLAN, Bluetooth, HFP, HSP, AVRCP, A2DP mini-USB 2.0 (also), and the same 3MP camera with auto-focus and geo-tagging, using a 3.55″ anti-glare resistive touchscreen and up to 4 hours talk time.

The Garmin-Asus collaboration continues as they want to release an Android handset later this year.
