The latest DVDirect camcorder-to-DVD recorder created by Sony looks and acts like VRD-MC10 and VRD-MC5. 1080i video with 5.1 audio can be taken directly of Handycam’s drive or Memory Stick and can be shoot out an AVCHD DVD.
You can bring SD video over FireWire or USB, if you are not that into HD experience all the way.
It has automatic chaptering and custom menu backgrounds, and you can even put in a SD card full of photos and MP3s to generate a slideshow. The price is good and helps those who want to archive and share their videos.
This price is 230$ and the product ships in September.
