The Android Revolution started in Canada on June 2, the day when Google’s revolutionary platform made its official debut, but the people interest does not show its face.
Google Android was overshadowed by the iPhone, although it was expected to be a big game-changer, and for this reason Rogers Wireless reduced the prices on both Google Android phones in its lineup.
The same time the Google’s revolutionary platform was released, both the keyboard-touting HTC Dream and the touchscreen-only HTC Magic were selling for $149.99 with a three-year contract. In order to convince people to buy these products, the price on both HTC Dream and HTC Magic became cheaper, and were selling at $99.99 on contract.
Although the price for these two is the same as of iPhone 3G, people is possible to find more interest in iPhone 3G S at the price of $199+. Android, this little robot, needs more help than just a price cut.
Part of the problem is that Rogers has yet to open up Android Market to paid apps. Without paid apps, the quality of available apps is low.
