Finally, a netbook with longer battery life: MSI Wind U100 Netbook. This should be a real success having in mind the short life of a netbook battery without being charged with electricity. The new MSI Wind U100 Netbook stays alive without being tethered to the wall for 12 hours.

Comparing to the Asus Eee PC 1000HE that has a battery life of 9.5 hours, the newly reworked MSI Wind U100 keeps energy even longer with more than 2 hours.

Unfortunately, MSI Wind U100 comes with nine-cell battery, comparing to the only six-cell battery of the Asus Eee PC 1000HE. It is true, the first one is less portable being heavier and having extra bulk. Another disadvantage is that if you want to benefit of every minute of that 12 hours you should probably have to dim the screen and to reduce the performance.

Leaving aside the comparison between the two netbooks and focusing on the MSI Wind U100 Netbook components, we notice that the hardware is composed by 160GB hard disk, 1GB RAM, 10-inch LED backlit display, Wi-Fi, Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor and also webcam, and as default operating system it uses Windows XP Home.

Well, if you want to have MSI Wind U100 Netbook, it can be bought through NCIX for $449.99, and for express shipping another $4.99.
