Gmail Mobile gets an upgrade for Android and iPhone
Google has released a new update for the GMail mobile. Altough the old version was pretty slick, there was need for change. This last version is not just an interface revision, the GMail mobile has major changes compared to it’s older relative.
The best part is that the new version embeds offline storage, so you can manage your mail while disconnected. The new interface is more ergonomic and allows for better times in term of message access and composing.
The iPhone’s internal database and Android’s Gears support come in handy as mobile GMail allows for messages to be cached locally, on the device. This shortens the response time when operating changes on e-mails, the actual process going on in the background.
The similarity between the iPhone’s touchscreen and the Android’s display was decisive in the Gmail Mobile’s design, both apps looking quite alike.
After the jump, you can find the official video that portraits the new Mobile Application.
