Samsung ES80 and PL20 with 5× zoom

Samsung’s camera range in the United States has expanded with two new devices dedicated to the entry level photography. Both cameras, the ES80 and PL20, have 5× lenses (27-135mm) and digital image stabilization in order to keep low prices. The PL20 is more advanced than the ES80, with its 14-megapixel sensor, 720-pixel video and in-camera effects filters as well as a lithium-ion battery.
The ES80 uses a 12-megapixel sensor and VGA video. The use of AA batteries is potentially more useful for tourists who may not have access to wall outlets.
The first to ship is the PL20 that will be ready in March and will cost $120. The other camera of the series, the ES80, will arrive in April and will have a price of $100.
