In an unusual launch, on August 27, Kodak presented its new ESP 9250 as being its flagship inkjet all-in-one. Kodak’s printer benefits from 802.11n Wi-Fi for local network printer sharing, including through iOS devices; optionally, it may take a Bluetooth adapter. The ESP 9250 prints in color at 9,600DPI, with duplexing as an option, but also scans at a true 2,400DPI.

The new design is reasonably quick for an inkjet, as it can print four-by-six-inch pictures in no more than 29 seconds and even sends regular color images at up to 30 pages per minute. Straight-ahead copying and faxing work at up to 26 pages per minute. Photos from most point-and shot cameras are directly taken through a multi-format card reader.

Kodak’s ESP 9250 printers are expected to hit the stores by the end of August, under a $250 price tag.
