Archos, the portable media player manufacturer, has recently announced that it will soon unveil five new Android-based tablets; the event will take place in early September, at the IFA show in Berlin. The new tablets will most likely include the 2.8-inch Archos 28, as well as the 3.2-inch Archos 32 (the latter has been recently spotted undergoing FCC testing). The Archos 7 and 8 home tablets may also be unveiled at the show. All devices are Android-powered; the home tablets are using an ARM9 chip, while the Archos 32 is powered by an ARM8 CPU. Android applications will be available for multimedia capable devices; the ability to communicate with other devices will also be a feature.

Archos declared earlier in the spring that it will release six Android-based tablets in the near future. Pricing may vary between $100 and $350, while display sizes will be ranged from 2.8 to 10 inches.
