Mesada, the Chinese GPS manufacturer, has recently showed off its 5-inch Internet tablet. This sports a 800×480 resolution touchscreen and has better speed, thanks to the 833MHz ARM Cortex-A8 based Samsung processor; moreover, the device benefits from 512MB of RAM, 32GB of integrated flash storage, as well as from a microSDHC slot. Wi-Fi, 3G support for data and the option of 720p HD video playback through the HDMI output are also available for the new tablet.

Mesada’s Windows CE tablet supports the Chinese CMMB digital TV broadcasts. The battery, which is a 2,000mAh one, is expected to provide good run time. Mesada has established the release of the device for July, in China, even if prices or more detailed information on this date are yet to be known. Though unlikely, it is unknown if it will be sold directly in North America.
