The rumoured table of Nokia are revealed by an analyst note. The tablet is supposed to use MeeGo, the mobile operating system designed in collaboration with Intel. It will be equipped with an ARM processor instead of the Atom Z600 which is preferred by Intel. According to Digitimes Research mentioned in the note, it would have a seven- or nine-inch display. Foxconn would assemble the tablet for this fall.
Many other details are not known but it seems the tablet will have 3G and can be sold through several carriers, with a subsidy involving a lower price for those customers who sign up with a contract.
The Finland-based company has been expected to return to tablets as a consequence of dropping the N810. Nokia is now back after having lost a one-time lead to the iPad of Apple. There will also be a sharp struggle as MeeGo has relatively few applications compared to the iPad that has over 10,000 titles tailored to its platform.
MeeGo is already a dead OS (Maemo?! huh??) MeeGo can’t compete with Android or iOS!!
