Verizon has recently announced that it has started offering its FiOS bundles on a monthly basis; the carrier has dropped the associated contract, without even raising monthly fees. These bundles are composed of fiber optic-based Internet, TV and VoIP calling facilities. Monthly bundles have been offered before by the carrier, even if they seem to cost an extra $20 per month over the contract deal.

This type of monthly deal costs $100 per month and benefits from one year price protection. Verizon’s website offers a one-year contract for these bundles, priced at $90 per month, but with an early termination tax. A contract-free La Conexion bundle is also offered for $90 per month, with key English and Spanish programming.

Faster Internet bundles, with more features can also be purchased contract-free. A base package is composed of over 225 TV channels and more than 40 HD channels, up to 15Mbps (download) Internet connection, 5Mbps for upload and also a phone line, which benefits from unlimited nationwide calling.
