The core Inspiron line of Dell has been upgraded to show a new look and some extra features that have not been seen before in products of the PC maker. A new full “chiclet” keyboard is now included together with unique color options. The keyboard’s underside can be color-matched while the palm rest has imprints in the HP-style. The display is now more practical as it has a hinge in the Mini-10 style which is able to bend back further than the previous models.
There are three models with 14-inch, 15-inch or 17-inch displays and Core i3 or i5 processors. Standard graphics can be upgraded to a 1GB Mobility Radeon high definition graphics or Wireless Display of Intel. Internal memory can reach 8GB of RAM while a hard disk drive of 640GB is also included.
The minimum configuration is expected to cost only $449 although Dell has not given detailed specifications. The Inspiron models 14R, 15R or 17R are available to ship within a business day.
