Toshiba has recently updated its notebook product line and headlined the series with the company’s first North American 3D notebook – Satellite A665 3D Edition. The new model offers a 15.6-inch, 120HZ display, which is able to handle stereoscopic 3D, and also a GeForce GTS 350M, which gives 3D Vision support for games and online videos; HD movies are brought thanks to a Blu-ray burner. Toshiba has used its TV technology, in order to improve DVD playback.
The new notebook is exclusively designed for performance – it benefits from a 1.73GHz quad Core i7, 4GB of RAM, a 640GB HDD and 802.11n Wi-Fi. Toshiba assures users of long battery life, thanks to the 12-cell battery. Moreover, the notebook has been added, among other ports, eSATA and HDMI out for significant expansion.
Toshiba’s new notebook will start shipping both to retail and online on June 20. It will be priced at $1,600 and will come in a bundle with the 3D Vision glasses and transmitter necessary for best performance.
