The new Logitech companion box for Google’s TV platform has finally received a name – Logitech Revue with Google TV moniker. This device is said to combine great features, like web access, cable, satellite content, applications, video calling and others onto a user’s TV.
According to a video on the web, an iPhone or Android application will let users control their own home theater systems similar to Logitech’s Harmony remotes; here, each system component is turned on or off and switched to the appropriate input. Users will also be able to browse through cable and satellite program guides or simply surf the Internet thanks to Logitech’s Revue with Google TV and to their Android-based smartphone or iPhone.
Logitech’s new product will most likely come out somewhere during fall; the price of the device is yet to be known.
