Through a recent GigaOM interview, Frank Meehan, the CEO of INQ Mobile, has announced that his company will be releasing its first Android-based touchscreen handset this fall. It seems that the London-based company will not be offering anything else but Android handsets. The company will even stop selling the current BREW OS-powered phones. INQ will soon be focusing on mid-range Android-based devices and collaborating not only with HTC, but also with Sony Ericsson, LG and Samsung. It is yet unknown if INQ plans to take an already existing Android smartphone and rebrand it, but this is likely to happen.

This new announcement comes as additional information to the promise he has made in September 2009. From this fall, the company will make users’ access to the Android Market and Google mobile services possible.
