On June 11th, 2010, Virgin Mobile Canada was announced to be the first carrier in North America to offer the new HTC Legend. This version runs on a 850MHz or a 1,900MHz 3G band. Otherwise, it is very similar to the international version of the phone, as it benefits from the same 3.2-inch, 480×320 AMOLED touchscreen, along with a 5-megapixel camera with flash, Wi-Fi and GPS. The new model of the smartphone runs Android 2.1, also having HTC’s latest version of Sense UI. HTC Legend is based on a very solid, unibody, aluminum body.
The new Legend will be priced at $80 Canadian if clients opt for a three-year contract. The contract-free option is also available, the device being priced, in this case, at only $350.
HTC’s Legend may also be available through Bell in a couple of days, even though it was expected earlier. American people could only get the new version of the phone when a CDMA edition for Sprint becomes available.
