Dan Hesse, Sprint’s CEO, recently claimed the carrier would have no current intentions to alter the pricing structure of its data plans. This information comes from an e-mail response addressed to a customer and is related to concerns about price modifications following the official launch of the Evo 4G.
The inquiry was generated by AT&T’s new data prices and rumors of Verizon’s similar restrictions. Some customers have sold their iPhones and reserved Evo 4G phones and are now confused about eventual higher prices on Sprint’s network.
Dan Hesse also rejected accusations about lack of transparency regarding hidden fees for the usage of the 4G service on the new Evo phone. He claimed that many reports were mixing things and not telling the truth and also stated that the Evo handset will benefit from the same price structure the company had for the dual-mode data card and for the mobile hot spot services.
