Google has updated its mobile search engine to include results form searches of applications from the iPhone App Store and the Android Market.

The new results of the searches are available in the United States market immediately. They will also be available in other countries, but no timing is specified for the moment.

Direct links to the applications will appear above the standard search results and will be related to both application stores. There are also basic details about the application included, which refer to its publisher, price and rating as well.

The results of the search for mobile applications will be returned when they are relevant and when the applications are well-rated. Keywords include the name of the application together with other words like “applications” or “app”, as well as “download”.
