HTC is supposed to work on a tablet specifically addressed to women, as Dr. Florian Seiche, HTC vice president of European operations hinted. He cited an in-house study suggesting that many women would gladly use a tablet to communicate with friends while doing something else.
Seiche said, at the Open Mobile Summit in London, that the study found many women social networking while watching TV would be an opportunity for the use of tablets.
No specific details were provided for the company’s plans related to tablets, but the HTC executive mentioned Android OS in his comments. Another report suggests that HTC is working to issue a high-end Android tablet with 1,080-pixel video recording and also 5.1-channel audio output.
