In just a few weeks, the iPhone has reached the third rank between the most popular platforms for Opera Mini. More than 2.6 million iPhones have downloaded and used Opera’s browser during the first two weeks on the App Store. The iPhone has become the most popular Opera device in the United States, where it is more popular than the BlackBerry. It also has ranked fifth in the United Kingdom.
American downloaders were the most likely to utilize Opera as a result. US users led in the number of unique users, pages viewed and also the amount of data transited through the sites.
Opera’s traffic comes mainly from Nokia phones. It is dominated by smartphones in the entry-level category, many of them having a proper browser, but either using a less adequate stock browser or being used in areas with slow connections, like Russia. Average Sony Ericsson devices and some of Samsung’s phones are sometimes popular too.
Surprisingly, the Android models and matching devices are absent from the picture. This aspect may suggest that many Android owners are either satisfied with the stock browser of Google or are using other alternatives to get online access.
I am not surprise at all. Opera it’s the best browser and in the Phone of my god. Nobody, nobody can’t beat him. The phone company’s never worry about a browser. Until Opera did.
