Lenovo has modernized its IdeaCentre desktops by making its first high-end all-in-one computer. The A700 upgrades from Core 2 Duo to a quad-core 1.73GHz mobile Core i7. It has a 1,080-pixel, 23-inch touchscreen display and is the first PC that uses a Surface Acoustic Wave panel. Lenovo claims this panel is extra-responsive compared to other touch displays.

Specifications for the system vary widely, starting at $999 for a configuration including a 2.13GHz Core i3, 320GB of disk space, Intel graphics, a Blu-ray combo drive as well as a mouse that can double as an air pointer remote. Advanced versions are equipped with Core i3, i5, i7 range and have options for Mobility Radeon HD 5650 dedicated video, a RAM capacity of 8GB and 2TB of storage.

Fewer details are given for the B305, but it is a budget alternative, with an Athlon II X4 processor as a maximum and a 21.5-inch and non-touch LCD. An option for dedicated graphics also exists and will cost $699.

The Q510 nettop is part of the new group and is targeted at home theaters. It has NVIDIA 2010-era Ion graphics and 512MB of dedicated memory. This configuration allows smooth playback at 1,080-pixel with hardware acceleration enabled. The Q510 uses an Intel Atom chip and has the option of a keyboard and trackball media remote for use with a TV. The price of the nettop is $249.

The new systems range is ended by the H320, Lenovo’s first slim tower, half the size of a full desktop and running on the newer Core chips of Intel, with an up to 8GB memory. The starter system would cost $549.

All these systems will be available by the end of June, with the only exception of the B305 which will have a slightly earlier release.
