Sony has revamped its memory cards Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX to work at higher transfer speeds. This event coincides with the confirmation of its mirrorless NEX-series Alpha cameras. The new memory sticks are capable to develop 30MB per second write speed, which is twice the speed of the older models. The cards are the fastest on the market and are optimized to work with Sony’s latest hardware.
The new cards will be bundled with x-Pict Story software able to provide online photo sharing and a recovery program for lost data. The memory cards will be released at a later date that is not mentioned yet, in capacities from 8GB to 32GB. Prices will start at $60.
