Fujifilm in Japan has released the HDP-L1, which is an SDHC memory card reader allowing connection to 3D HDTVs over HDMI to display 3D photos and movies previously captured by using the W1 digital camera from Fujifilm. The device can also be connected to PCs via a USB 2.0 connection in order to transfer and back-up the content of the memory cards. It also can detect standard 2D content or any other information stored on the card.

There is a remote control included and the content can be viewed as a slide show. Images can be viewed as thumbnails and can be rotated or erased as well.

The HDP-L1 already ships in Japan and is priced at the equivalent of $45. It is believed to arrive in North America later this year, though a confirmation has not been released yet.
