Sanyo has brought two new camcorders of the Xacti line in its homeland, previewing the US launches of the devices. The traditional GH1 and vertical CG100 can both capture 1,080-pixel at a speed of up to 30 frames per second and can reach up to 60 frames per second at 720-pixel. Both camcorders add SDXC and now can use 64GB or more of removable storage.
The camcorders have 5× lenses with unique dual-mode configuration, which can accommodate wide-angle shots between 40-240mm telephoto distances at 80-480mm. Both cameras can process 14-megapixel still photos, on-the-spot colour adjustment and face detection. Both the GH1 and CG100 are shipping to Japan on April 16th for an equivalent price of $374. Sanyo is likely to ship them to the United States in the near future.
