Free Ovi Maps available for free for Nokia E71 and E66

Nokia has announced it had made the walk and drive Ovi Maps available for free to all owners of the E66 and E71 smartphones. The free navigation software was previously available only for the newer devices E72, N97 and X6. Users have to download the latest Ovi Maps application from Nokia’s website Nokia.com/maps to their computers and afterwards install the application to their phones using Ovi Suite.
Users also can load local maps onto their phones and browse them offline. Two phones use the older S60 3.1 operating system and therefore Nokia has not made its premium Guide Michelin and Lonely Planet guides and warned that the E66 and E71 would be the last phones to sport the free version of free Ovi Maps. However, all new Nokia smartphones will provide free walk and drive navigation.
