On March 16, 2010, Astro Gaming has presented its new A30 headset; this can be used both as headphones for standard digital audio players or cellphones and as a communications device for gamers who need this kind of optional device. The A30 is expected to be a more lifestyle-oriented variant of the company’s earlier released A40 (the flagship model).
Astro Gaming’s new A30 will come out with three different audio cables, which can be used to connect to various portable devices, including Sony PS2 and Microsoft Xbox 360. The headset also benefits from a removable boom with a microphone in the cord. The speaker covers can be customized with the user’s own artwork or with images available in Astro’s library. The A30 comes with a ballistic nylon carrying case.
Astro Gaming’s A30 Cross-Gaming Headset is already available in black and white versions, being priced at $150. Shipped alongside Astro’s MixAmp, which allows voice chats when gaming on PCs or other gaming consoles, the headset is priced at $230. MixAmp is a must-have if PS3 and Xbox 360 connections are required; this also enables the 5.1 Dolby Surround sound.
