According to Engadget, at the MIX10 event, Microsoft said it’s true that the Windows Phone 7 platform will not offer support for clipboard operations. These comments might come as a surprise for many, because copy and paste functionality has been featured on previous generations of the company’s Windows Mobile software.
Apple has also been criticized as its iPhone has been lacking copy and paste; the clipboard features have been added, though, last year, through the v3.0 firmware update. Most of the smartphone’s users have been frustrated with the incapacity of transferring text between various applications.
Even if the copy/paste feature is will be lacking in the Windows Phone 7 first release, the manufacturer has mentioned that it may be considering several upgrades to the software.
